Over 60 players from 10 schools competed in our annual chess tournament at the Johannesburg City Library — the biggest edition in our programme’s history. The all-day event featured 5 rounds of Swiss-system chess followed by an exciting final playoff.
Watching young players think strategically, manage time and compete with grace was a reminder of why mind sports are such a powerful development tool for young people.
